Defunct Books has been in business since 2003 selling used, out-of-print, rare and collectible books in all subjects. In 2015, moved from Iowa City, IA to the Five Points neighborhood of Nashville, TN.

We specialize in unusual books, so that is our main focus when purchasing, but we will buy anything we think we can sell.

We are NOT interested in encyclopedia sets, Reader's Digest condensed books, old textbooks, and books in poor condition. We buy very few bestsellers (unless super recent), as these generally just don't have resale value.

Besides rare books, we are more likely to buy graphic novels, local history, music books, science, architecture, classics, philosophy, art, and collectible children's books, though we do buy in every category.
